The Obama campaign pressures TV Stations to Drop NRA Spot....

There is a story on the CNSNEWS.com website that informs us that the Obama campaign is now threatening broadcasters with government sanction over the content of an ad.

First thing frist, Sentor Obama is not the President, nor is he the Chairman of the FCC, so how in the world is he threatening broadcasters with sanctions.

Please take a look at this story at http://www.cnsnews.com/public/content/article.aspx?RsrcID=36590.

And please keep in mind, if this is how he allows his staff to act now, what freedoms will he try to remove from us as President of the United States.

One more word before I go, if he is informing the stations they must remove the spots that the Obama campaign believes are making numerous false statements and misinforming the public, then the stations need to pull ALL the Obama ads also.

Catholics Vote...

A friend of mine forwarded an email to me with the message of:

I hope all of you will go to this site and see what the Catholics have done to encourage their 67 Million people on election day. They don't tell them how to vote but they sure do get their message across. http://www.catholicvote.com/

When you visit the site above, watch the video ( have supplied the video at the bottom of this message), this video is so very inspiring. I'm not sure how we can do this, but we need to find a way to get the word out about this video, the Bishops and priests need to speak about this website in all Churches, not just the catholic ones. This video speaks to all Christians in general...

LIFE, FAITH and FAMILY the three most important things in our lives.

So the time is NOW to forward this message on, to witness to others. In the words of St. Francis of Assisi, "Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary use words. NOW is the time to use words, NOW is the time to forward this message.

Oh there's Change coming...

Oh there's change coming, well not really I'm just using that as a campaign slogan. Here's how change is NOT coming from the democrat party.

Rep. Alcee Hastings a democrat from Florida that also happens to be black made this following statement to the Natioanl Jewish Democratic Council last week, "Anybody toting guns and stripping moose don't care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks. So, you just think this through."

Now, where is the change in that, hmmm NO WHERE!

I'm in total agreement with Matt Brooks, he's the Executive Director of the Republican Jewish Coalition, when he made the statement, "Rep. Hastings has stooped to the worst kind of divisive politics. There should be no place in our country for this sort of political discourse. We can constructively disagree on the issues without denigrating others."

And let me say one last thing on this, I'm Catholic a proud Catholic and this offends me just as much as it should offend people of the Jewish faith and black americans.

Good Night & Good Luck.

Today in Washington...

Let's review...

In a vote that shocked the hell out of everyone in DC and Wall Street that turned down the $700+ billion emergency rescue for the financial system left both parties scrambling when the the bill went down, 228-205. However, it did not take long for the House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to start pointing fingers.

It all started on the House floor when she did a speech that pointed at all the republicans that they where the cause of all this and needed to step up and fix it.

Now wait one damn minute Pelosi, the last time I checked the democrats are in control of the House and the Senate and if you all really believed there where issues, why in the hell didnt you step up to the plate and put a bill together that would put in safe grauds.

Also, let's take a look at something here, if this was such a great democrat bill, why did 95 democrats vote NO on the bill. Pelosi, before you start pointing fingers you better get your team on the same page, because based on the facts that's not happening.

I do agree with one thing Pelosi said and I quota: "What happened today cannot stand". You are correct Pelosi, this cannot stand. Now stop pointing fingers and start working together.

About a Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Commercial

The article below is written by a friend of mine's cousin, I had to repost it here because it shows you how far off the commericals are and how people really need to check the facts before the believe something that "is on TV"

This article can be located on the Republican party of Olmsted County. http://www.olmstedgop.org/ocgop/?p=misc/news/salerno&s=misc/newsAndReading

About the Franken Commercial With the Andersons

I forget sometimes why I don't watch much television anymore. Then the campaign ads hit the airways and I remember oh so well. I'm particularly appalled at the ad in which the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee has chosen to run. The grieving parents of a soldier who died in Iraq are blaming President Bush and Norm Coleman for their loss. What? Let's take a look at the facts (an option they forgot while writing propaganda for us all to view).

First of all, Norm Coleman wasn't even sworn in as a senator when the joint resolution to authorize the use of United States Armed Forces against Iraq was calculated. Senator Wellstone was the incumbent seeking re-election on October 11, 2002 when Congress voted. Senator Coleman didn't take his oath until January 7, 2003. Does that still make him a "yes-man"?
Next, President Bush doesn't have the authority to send the country to war! Congress has to take a vote for that to happen. To be exact, the vote was 77 to 23 FOR war with Iraq. If we go back even further than October 2002 though, we see that there were plenty of Democrats who thought Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, a term described by the military and coined by the Clinton administration as weapons capable of a higher order of destruction such as high explosives or nuclear, biological, chemical and radiological weapons excluding the means of transporting or propelling it.

On February 18, 1998 at a town hall meeting in Columbus, Ohio, Madeleine Albright, then Secretary of State under the Clinton administration, warned of Iraq's threat of nuclear proportions. She is quoted saying "Iraq is a long way from Ohio but what happens there matters a great deal here. For the risk that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest security threat we face and it is a threat for which we must and will stand firm." That was before George W. Bush took his oath of office.
Sandy Berger, National Security Advisor under the Clinton Administration, said at that same meeting "He (Saddam Hussein) will rebuild his arsenal of weapons of mass destruction and some day, some way, I am certain, he will use that arsenal again as he has 10 times since 1983." That was also before George W. Bush took his oath.

In 2002, Nancy Pelosi was quoted as saying "Saddam Hussein certainly has chemical and biological weapons. There's no question about that."

Jay Rockefeller, Senator (D-WV), said in October 2002 on Senate floor "there is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons."
The list goes on and on. Joe Biden (D-DE), Harry Reid (D-NV), Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton (D-NY), Jay Rockefeller (D-WV), John Edwards (D-NC), Evan Bayh (D-IN), Tom Daschle (D-SD), Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), Tom Harkin (D-IA) and a host of other Senators (Democrat and Republican alike) agreed with the President on taking action against Iraq's leader and voted for the war. So does that mean all of them are "yes-men" as well?
Nancy Anderson states in the ad, "If Norm Coleman would have stood up to the President and said this is not a good idea, maybe he would have listened." Why didn't the Democrats vote against it?

"I don't blame the army for our son's death. I just blame the bad policies on President Bush, Norm Coleman, who voted for this" said Nancy Anderson in the commercial. How could Norm Coleman vote for the war when he wasn't even in office at the time? As I recall, there were plenty of Democrat Senators who voted for it though.
Claremont Anderson says, "I have no faith in Norm Coleman. He has no ability to make up his own mind." As a matter of fact, on January 22, 2007, Coleman joined Democrats in bipartisan opposition to President Bush's planned troop increase in Iraq. Is this commercial an attempt at political satire or the rewriting of history?

If you think war in Iraq was a mistake then start putting the blame where it belongs. Don't deny that Al Franken's party had just as much to do with our troops going to Iraq as anyone. They should take Stuart Smalley's advice "Denial ain't just a river in Egypt!"
