A vaild point by a real person... (Qualified to Lead...by Joe W. Porter)

Below is a letter from a real person, at the bottom of the letter is his number, you can call him and he'll talk to you...

Take the few moments to read the letter, because by the time you get to the end, I think you will understand the points he's making and how you should select who you are going to vote for.

Dear Friends:

My name is Joe Porter. I live in Champaign, Illinois. I'm 46 years old, a born-again Christian, a husband, a father, a small business owner, a veteran, and a homeowner. I don't consider myself to be either conservative or liberal, and I vote for the person, not Republican or Democrat. I don't believe there are "two Americas " - but that every person in this country can be whomever and whatever they want to be if they'll just work to get there - and nowhere else on earth can they find such opportunities. I believe our government should help those who are legitimately downtrodden, and should always put the interests of America first.

The purpose of this message is that I'm concerned about the future of this great nation. I'm worried that the silent majority of honest, hard-working, tax-paying people in this country have been passive for too long. Most folks I know choose not to involve themselves in politics. They go about their daily lives, paying their bills, raising their kids, and doing what they can to maintain the good life. They vote and consider doing so to be a sacred trust. They shake their heads at the political pundits and so-called "news", thinking that what they hear is always spun by whomever is reporting it. They can't understand how elected officials can regularly violate the public trust with pork barrel spending. They don't want government handouts. They want the government to protect them, not raise their taxes for more government programs.

We are in the unique position in this country of electing our leaders. It's a privilege to do so. I've never found a candidate in any election with whom I agreed on everything. I'll wager that most of us don't even agree with our families or spouses 100% of the time. So when I step into that voting booth, I always try to look at the big picture and cast my vote for the man or woman who is best qualified for the job. I've hired a lot of people in my lifetime, and essentially that's what an election is - a hiring process. Who has the credentials? Whom do I want working for me? Whom can I trust to do the job right?

I'm concerned that a growing number of voters in this country simply don't get it. They are caught up in a fervor they can't explain, and calling it "change". "Change what?” I ask. "Well, we're going to change America ", they say."In what way?” I query. "We want someone new and fresh in the White House", they exclaim.. "So, someone who's not a politician?", I say. "Uh, well, no, we just want a lot of stuff changed, so we're voting for Obama", they state."So the current system, the system of freedom and democracy that has enabled a man to grow up in this great country, get a fine education, raise incredible amounts of money and dominate the news and win his party's nomination for the White House - that system's all wrong?" "No, no, that part of the system's okay - we just need a lot of change." And so it goes. "Change we can believe in."

Quite frankly, I don't believe that vague proclamations of change hold any promise for me. In recent months, I've been asking virtually everyone I encounter how they're voting. I live in Illinois, so most folks tell me they're voting for Barack Obama. But no one can really tell me why - only that he's going to change a lot of stuff. "Change, change, change." I have yet to find one single person who can tell me distinctly and convincingly why this man is qualified to be President and Commander-in-Chief of the most powerful nation on earth - other than the fact that he claims he's going to implement a lot of change.

We've all seen the emails about Obama's genealogy, his upbringing, his Muslim background, and his church affiliations. Let's ignore this for a moment. Put it all aside. Then ask yourself, "What qualifies this man to be my president? That he's a brilliant orator and talks about change?" CHANGE WHAT?

Friends, I'll be forthright with you - I believe the American voters who are supporting Barack Obama don't have a clue what they're doing, as evidenced by the fact that not one of them - NOT ONE of them I've spoken to can spell out his qualifications. Not even the most liberal media can explain why he should be elected. Political experience? Negligible. Foreign relations? Non-existent. Achievements? Name one. Someone who wants to unite the country? If you haven't read his wife's thesis from Princeton, look it up on the web. This is who's lining up to be our next First Lady?

The only thing I can glean from Obama's constant harping about change is that we're in for a lot of new taxes. For me, the choice is clear. I've looked carefully at the two leading applicants for the job, and I've made my choice. Here's a question - "Where were you five and a half years ago? Around Christmas, 2002. You've had five or six birthdays in that time. My son has grown from a sixth grade child to a high school graduate. Five and a half years is a good chunk of time. About 2,000 days. 2,000 nights of sleep. 6, 000 meals, give or take." John McCain spent that amount of time, from 1967 to 1973, in a North Vietnamese prisoner-of-war camp.

When offered early release, he refused it. He considered this offer to be a public relations stunt by his captors, and insisted that those held longer than he should be released first. Did you get that part? He was offered his freedom, and he turned it down. A regimen of beatings and torture began.

Do you possess such strength of character? Locked in a filthy cell in a foreign country, would you turn down your own freedom in favor of your fellow man? I submit that's a quality of character that is rarely found, and for me, this singular act defines John McCain.

Unlike several presidential candidates in recent years whose military service is questionable or non-existent, you will not find anyone to denigrate the integrity and moral courage of this man. A graduate of Annapolis, during his Naval service he received the Silver Star, Bronze Star, Purple Heart and Distinguished Flying Cross. His own son is now serving in the Marine Corps in Iraq. Barack Obama is fond of saying "We honor John McCain's service...BUT...", which to me is condescending and offensive - because what I hear is, "Let's forget this man's sacrifice for his country and his proven leadership abilities, and talk some more about change."

I don't agree with John McCain on everything - but I am utterly convinced that he is qualified to be our next President, and I trust him to do what's right. I know in my heart that he has the best interests of our country in mind. He doesn't simply want to be President - he wants to lead America, and there's a huge difference. Factually, there is simply no comparison between the two candidates. A man of questionable background and motives who prattles on about change can't hold a candle to a man who has devoted his life in public service to this nation, retiring from the Navy in1981 and elected to the Senate in1982.

Perhaps Obama's supporters are taking a stance between old and new. Maybe they don't care about McCain's service or his strength of character, or his unblemished qualifications to be President. Maybe "likeability" is a higher priority for them than "trust". Being a prisoner of war is not what qualifies John McCain to be President of the United States of America - but his demonstrated leadership certainly DOES.

Dear friends, it is time for us to stand. It is time for thinking Americans to say, "Enough." It is time for people of all parties to stop following the party line. It is time for anyone who wants to keep America first, who wants the right man leading their nation, to start a dialogue with all their friends and neighbors and ask who they're voting for, and why.

There's a lot of evil in this world. That should be readily apparent to all of us by now. And when faced with that evil as we are now, I want a man who knows the cost of war on his troops and on his citizens. I want a man who puts my family's interests before any foreign country.I want a President who's qualified to lead.

I want my country back, and I'm voting for John McCain.

Here's something to think about... Where does Obama get all that money?

Here's something to think about... Where does Obama get all that money?

A friend sent me this and asked that it be circulated. Mission accomplished. Pass it on! Scary stuff..

Date: Friday, September 19, 2008, 11:39 AM

To All My Friends, this is long, but very important, please take the time to read it.

This election has me very worried. So many things to consider. About a year ago I would have voted for Obama. I have changed my mind three times since then.

I watch all the news channels, jumping from one to another. I must say this drives my husband crazy. But, I feel if you view MSNBC, CNN, and Fox News, you might get some middle ground to work with. About six months ago, I started thinking 'where did the money come from for Obama'. I have four daughters who went to College, and we were middle class, and money was tight. We (including my girls) worked hard and there were lots of student loans.

I started looking into Obama's life.

Around 1979 Obama started college at Occidental in California. He is very open about his two years at Occidental, he tried all kinds of drugs and was wasting his time but, even though he had a brilliant mind, did not apply himself to his studies. 'Barry' (that was the name he used all his life) during this time had two roommates, Muha mmadHasan Chandoo and Wahid Hamid, both from Pakistan.

During the summer of 1981, after his second year in college, he made a 'round the world' trip. Stopping to see his mother in Indonesia, next Hyderabad in India, three weeks in Karachi, Pakistan where he stayed with his roommate's family, then off to Africa to visit his father's family. My question – Where did he get the money for this trip? Neither I, nor any one of my children would have had money for a trip like this when they where in college. When he came back he started school at Columbia University in New York. It is at this time he wants everyone to call him Barack - not Barry. Do you know what the tuition is at Columbia? It's not cheap! to say the least. Where did he get money for tuition? Student Loans? Maybe.

After Columbia, he went to Chicago to work as a Community Organizer for $12,000. a year. Why Chicago? Why not New York? He was already living in New York.

By 'chance' he met Antoin 'Tony' Rezko, born in Aleppo Syria, and a real estate developer in Chicago. Rezko has been convicted of fraud and bribery this year. Rezko, was named 'Entrepreneur of the Decade' by the Arab-American Business and Professional Association'. About two years later, Obama entered Harvard Law School. Do you have any idea what tuition is for Harvard Law School? Where did he get the money for Law School? More student loans?

After Law school, he went back to Chicago. Rezko offered him a job, which he turned down. But, he did take a job with Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland. Guess what? They represented 'Rezar' which Rezko's firm. Rezko was one of Obama's first major financial contributors when he ran for office in Chicago.

In 2003, Rezko threw an early fundraiser for Obama which Chicago Tribune reporter David Mendelland claims was instrumental in providing Obama with 'seed money' for his U.S. Senate race. In 2005, Obama purchased a new home in Kenwoood District of Chicago for $1.65 million (less than asking price). With ALL those Student Loans - Where did he get the money for the property? On the same day Rezko's wife, Rita, purchased the adjoining empty lot for full price.
The London Times reported that Nadhmi Auchi, an Iraqi-born Billionaire loaned Rezko $3.5 million three weeks before Obama's new home was purchased. Obama met Nadhmi Auchi many times with Rezko.

Now, we have Obama running for President. Valerie Jarrett, was Michele Obama's boss. She is now Obama's chief advisor and he does not make any major decisions without talking to her first. Where was Jarrett born? Ready for this? Shiraz, Iran! Do we see a pattern here? Or am I going crazy?

On May 10, 2008 The Times reported, Robert Malley advisor to Obama was 'sacked' after the press found out he was having regular contacts with 'Hamas', which controls Gaza and is connected with Iran. This past week, buried in the back part of the papers, Iraqi newspapers reported that during Obama's visit to Iraq, he asked their leaders to do nothing about the war until after he is elected, and he will 'Take Care of Things'.

Oh, and by the way, remember the college roommates that where born in Pakistan? They are in charge of all those 'small' Internet campaign contribution for Obama. Where is that money coming from? The poor and middle class in this country? Or could it be from the Middle East?

And the final bit of news. On September 7, 2008, The Washington Times posted a verbal slip that was made on 'This Week' with George Stephanapoulos. Obama on talking about his religion said, 'My Muslim faith'. When questioned, 'he made a mistake'. Some mistake!

All of the above information I got on line. If you would like to check it
-
Wikipedia, encyclopedia, Barack Obama; Tony Rezko; Valerie Jarrett:
Daily Times - Obama visited Pakistan in 1981; The Washington Times - September 7, 2008; The Times May 10, 2008.

Now the BIG question - If I found out all this information on my own, Why haven't all of our 'intelligent' members of the press been reporting this?

A phrase that keeps ringing in my ear - 'Beware of the enemy from within'!!!

Phony Voters, Voter Fraud and Your Tax Dollars...

With ‘community organizers’ like ACORN, the militant advocacy group that is turning up in reports about voter fraud and is linked to Obama, how can we trust this election? With more and more details coming out about ACORN voter fraud, how can we trust that new voters are who they say they are?
Those two questions are on all our minds today, if it’s not it should be. Acorn – ‘the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now’ has been around since 1970, taking and using government dollars (your taxes dollars) to lobby for bigger government. This shady outfit should be closed down based on the finds from the past few days.

In a article in the “The Wall Street Journal” dated October 14, 2008 they say that Acorn was a major contributor to the subprime meltdown by pushing lenders to make home loans on easy terms, conducting ‘strikes’ against banks so they’d lower credit standards. And they go on to say that the real genius in Acorn is getting the American taxpayer to foot the bill.

This shady outfit needs to go, however the Obama campaign is only distancing itself from Acorn, saying he never organized with it and has nothing to do with illegal voter registration. Yet it’s devious to channel cash into an operation with a history of fraud and then claim you’re shocked to discover reports of fraud.

I believe the Wall Street Journal hit it on nail on the head with this statement:

“As with Rev. Jeremiah Wright and William Ayers, Mr. Obama was happy to associate with Acorn when it suited his purposes. But now that he's on the brink of the Presidency, he wants to disavow his ties.” Well Mr. Obama, you can't have it both ways, you can have fake voters come and vote for you and then say, I'm shocked.

It’s time for the Justice department to start treating this fraud reports as a federal issue, than a few local violators.

ALERT for Small Businesses

For those out there that do not know this, Small Businesses create the majority of all jobs in America, including 350,000 new jobs this year alone.

So, keep these few items in mind when you go to the polls this November to vote for the President of the United States and other elected positions:

1) John McCain will keep individual tax rates low. Millions of American small businesses, including LLCs and S-Corps, are taxed at individual tax rates. John McCain will fight to make sure that their taxes remain low. When businesses pay lower taxes, they are better able to hire more workers and pay higher wages.

2) Senator Obama will raise taxes on 23 million business owners -- a plan that will stifle job growth and weaken job security. Means Less Jobs.

3) John McCain will cut the corporate tax rate from 35% to 25%. America now has the second highest corporate tax rate in the world, making America a less attractive place to do business and causing American companies to move their jobs overseas.

4) Senator Obama has no plans to cut the corporate tax rate, and his proposal to lift the payroll tax income cap will be the largest tax Increase in history -- $1 trillion. By the year 2015, more than 865,000 jobs will be lost under this scheme. Means Less Jobs

5) John McCain will give small business owners health care tax credits. John McCain will reform the tax code to offer more choices by providing a refundable tax credit ($2,500 for individuals and $5,000 for families) to offset the cost of insurance.

6) Senator Obama will tax small business owners who cannot provide health coverage for all their employees. Obama has also publicly supported a Single Payer Health Care System which will prevent American families from making decisions about their own health care.

7) John McCain Supports An Alternative New And Simpler Tax System. Americans do not resent paying their rightful share of taxes - what they do resent is being subjected to thousands of pages of needless and often irrational rules and demands from the IRS.

So, what I'm trying to tell you is this, if you want to keep your job, if you want your employer to be able to pay their bills and keep you employed you need to Vote John McCain.

The Washington Democrats keep saying that the Bush Administration is to blame for all the issues that are at hand today. Well, I'm telling you the Washington Democrats are not telling you the full TRUTH.

The Washington Democrats run the House and the Senate up in Washington D.C., so they are the ones that write the laws not the Bush Administration.

So, before you go vote, know the FACTS and the FACTS are the Washington Democrats are at the root of 90% of the issues we are facing today.

The email on 3 Criminals...

The story sounds good, however not true... Well part of it is not true.

On Snopes.com http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/fanniemae.asp the review of this email is false.

However, having talked to Raines about 'General housing and economy issues' does not add a warm and fuzzy, because why would you ask advise from a guy that was charged and found guilt on bad economy participles. Unless you wanted bad advise. Hmmm, something to think about.

Also, if you are going to ask someone to help with vetting your Vice President pick, how could someone not know about Johnson's record.

Something just don't add up.

Someone needs to look deeper into this, because again something just does not add up!

Oh the Liberal Media...

Well, there are two stories out there today that has not received much air, well because it's news that shows the Democrats in a bad light.

The first story of the day…

The VP Debate Moderator (Gwen Ifill) is releasing a book on how great Obama is. Now, how in the world can she not be one sided. This shows you how one sided the Public Broadcasting Service is, the PBS is a publicly funded service and should not pick sides, however just like the rest of the media is liberal.

Ms. Ifill should do the right thing and step down as Moderator of the Vice Presidential debate, however we all know that will not happen, so both campaigns need to request that she is removed as moderator. This is the only way to get a far and balance debate.

Now the second story of the day…

Last year, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi supported a bill that would ban members of congress from putting spouses on their campaign and PAC staffs. However, today in the Washington Times there is a story informing us that her husband Mr. Paul Pelosi has been receiving funds from Nancy Pelosi PAC (PAC to the Future). With the sum being around $100,000, now here where it gets better, Mr. Pelosi took over as treasurer of his wife’s PAC in 2007 and the price of treasurer increased eight times higher than other treasurers received annually from 2000 to 2005.

I was really surprised to the Washington Times printed something like this, I was truly amazed. However, you will never see this in the light of day on the big networks because it will hurt the view of the democrats.

I’m not saying the Republicans are saints, we all know that there are issues on both sides. But, the media makes it their job to point out when a republican does something like this, but not when a democrat does it.

So, my question is, How can we trust the media? As we are learning more and more each day, the media is one sided and we know now that it’s the left side when it should be in the middle with no sides.

Good Night & Good Luck
